Photographer takes on twitter in legal case

A professional photographer in the US is about to embark on a landmark case, suing twitter for the copyright of his images.

Christopher Boffoli is well known for his images of miniature everyday scenes of food and toy figures.  He is alleging that Twitter users have copied his photos without permission or a license to do so.

The photographer quite rightly is unhappy about the spread of his photos online as his livelihood depends on being able to sell the images.

He is alleging that Twitter has failed to remove the posts from people infringing his work despite him being in touch on many occasions.

We will be following the progress of this case with interest as it could have huge implications for photographers everywhere.
