When an interesting case crops up we often get asked by the popular photography community site ePHOTOzine to supply expert opinion or an article offering analysis from an insurance perspective.

Recently a shocking case cropped up where a gay couple uploaded a photo taken at their civil ceremony to their own blog and later discovered it had been lifted from the site and used in an anti-gay union’s political campaign, 2000 miles away.

Obviously this is an extreme example of photography ending up in the wrong people’s hands but highlights some important copyright issues for photographers.
